Mountains with a different story.

Different ranges. Different rhythms. Start with the geography, then build a route around current conditions.

Northern Iran

The Alborz

Stretching along the southern side of the Caspian Sea, the Alborz includes high mountain terrain north of Tehran. Dizin, Shemshak and Darbandsar are established ski areas in this broader region; lift status and access must be checked for your dates.

Western & southwestern Iran

The Zagros

A long mountain system with varied landscapes, settlements and winter conditions. Touring objectives require location-specific advice on snow, access, accommodation and local arrangements.

Damavand

Iran’s highest mountain is a volcanic peak in the Alborz. Its altitude and exposure make any ascent a serious mountain undertaking. Seasonal snow, weather, acclimatisation and access determine whether a skiing objective is appropriate.

Discuss Damavand

A destination is not a confirmed itinerary.

These are regional introductions, not advertised departures or guarantees of access. Check current government travel advice, entry requirements, local restrictions and insurance cover before making commitments.
